How We Rank the Best Polymarket Traders

Sorting by total profit doesn't tell you much. Someone who nailed one lucky bet on a longshot looks great on a P&L chart but might be terrible to follow long-term. We wanted a better way to figure out who's actually good, so we built the Smart Score.

It pulls on-chain trade data and scores each trader on five things: how consistent their profits are (Sortino-based), how smooth their equity curve looks (R-squared), win rate, worst drawdown, and profit factor. Each one gets its own score, and then we combine them into a single number from 0 to 100.

The goal is to surface people who are genuinely skilled, not just lucky. You can filter by time period (1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or all time), sort by whichever metric matters most to you, and search for specific names.

Win Rate

How often a trader's bets end in profit. The top-ranked ones usually sit above 60%, which means they're picking the right side of markets more often than not.

Sharpe Ratio

A way to measure risk-adjusted returns. It tells you how much profit someone makes for each unit of risk they take on. Higher is better because it means they're not just getting lucky on volatile bets.

Smart Score

Our 0 to 100 rating that blends consistency, return smoothness, win rate, drawdown protection, and profit factor into one number. If you only look at one metric, make it this one.

Max Drawdown

The biggest drop from peak to trough in someone's portfolio. Good traders keep this number small. It shows they protect their capital even when things go sideways.

Profit Factor

Total profits divided by total losses. Anything above 1 means the trader is making money overall. The best ones typically have a profit factor of 2 or more.

ROI

Return on investment, or how much profit someone made relative to the capital they put in. It's one of the simplest ways to see how efficiently they turn money into more money.

How to Find and Copy the Best Traders

1

Browse the rankings

Start by scrolling through the table above. You can switch between time periods (1D, 7D, 30D, All) to spot who's performing well right now versus who has a strong long-term record. Sort by Smart Score for an overall picture, or pick a specific metric like P&L, win rate, or ROI.

2

Dig into the details

Click the info icon next to any trader's score to see how they stack up on each of the five factors: consistency, return smoothness, win rate, max drawdown, and profit factor. Look for people who score well across the board, not just one standout metric.

3

Start copy trading

Once you've found someone you like, sign up and connect your wallet. Pick the traders you want to follow, set your max bet size and any other limits, and the bot takes it from there. It mirrors their trades in real time, and since it's non-custodial, your funds never leave your wallet.

Polymarket Leaderboard FAQ

Common questions about the Polymarket trader rankings, Smart Score, and copy trading.

It's a live ranking of the top-performing prediction market traders. We track every active trader and rank them by P&L, win rate, ROI, Sharpe ratio, and our own Smart Score, which rolls all of those metrics into a single 0 to 100 rating. Think of it as a scoreboard that tells you who's actually making money right now.

We use a scoring system called Smart Score that looks at five things: how consistent a trader's profits are, how smooth their returns look over time, their win rate, how well they avoid big losses, and their profit factor. Each one gets scored on its own, and then we blend them into one overall number from 0 to 100. You can also just sort by raw P&L, win rate, or ROI if you prefer a simpler view.

Not necessarily the ones with the single biggest win. The best traders are the ones who keep making money across lots of different markets without blowing up. We look at on-chain data to find people who combine high win rates with solid risk management. Most of the top-ranked ones have Smart Scores above 80 and win rates over 60%.

We pull fresh on-chain data every few hours. You can also switch between different time windows (1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or all time) to see who's hot right now versus who has been performing well over a longer stretch.

Yes, that's exactly what PolyCopyTrade is built for. Pick the traders you want to follow, set your risk limits like max bet size and daily trade caps, and the bot handles the rest. When they trade, you trade. Everything runs through your own wallet so you stay in control of your funds the whole time.

It's our way of boiling down a trader's entire track record into one number. It weighs consistency at 25%, return smoothness at 25%, win rate at 20%, drawdown protection at 15%, and profit factor at 15%. Someone with a high score is making money reliably without taking crazy risks.

Win rate is simply how often a trader's bets end up profitable. ROI is about the total return relative to how much capital they put in. You can have a 90% win rate but still lose money if your losers are huge. And you can have a 40% win rate but be very profitable if your winners are much bigger. The best traders tend to do well on both.

Yep, completely free. You can browse every trader's ranking, score, P&L, win rate, and other stats without creating an account. If you want to actually copy trade someone automatically, that's where the paid plans come in.
